Global Event Security Manager-ESPN
The Manager for Global Security will plan, establish, implement, and provide coordinated leadership and direction in all aspects of security, security policies, procedures, and programs to protect the staff, reputation, training, and assets for all remote productions. Including plan, develop and ensure implementation and operation of security and emergency response plans & procedures for remote production sites for the protection of employees, visitors, property, facilities, and other assets.
The Global Event Security Manager position will provide direction on all office related projects for all security and safety at all internationally owned and leased ESPN facilities.
Responsibilities:
Production Sites
• Develop and ensure implementation and operations of security and emergency response plans and procedures for remote production sites.
• Ensure effective coordination with law enforcement, fire, medical, and other emergency resources at all locations and events.
• Conduct briefings; provide advice and recommendations to Senior Staff, Regional Directors, Country Directors, and Field Security Coordinators.
• Provide leadership and mentoring for uniformed contract security officers.
Remote Events
• Approves security and emergency response plans for all events.
• Analyzes security risks, issues, and requirements.
• Accountable for the financial results and cost management of unit(s) directed.
• Creates and fosters partner relationships with law enforcement, fire, and other emergency response entities in all communities where ESPN has events and productions.
• Oversees Event Security vendors and security service contractors.
• Ensures that appropriate security equipment & systems are in place and fully operational.
• Operates within the context of defined corporate strategies.
• Decisions are guided by established corporate policy.
• Serves as ESPN Security's Intelligence Officer
• Liaison with Disney Global Security Threat Analysis Unit
Qualifications:
• Has in depth knowledge of remote/temporary facility and event security issues, requirements, and best practices
• Has working knowledge of police, fire, medical, and other emergency service provider procedures in responding to emergency incidents.
• Has minimum of 5- years of security industry experience with people management.
• Is an experienced manager with good management skills.
• Frequent travel-estimate 50% or more. Weekend, Nights, and Holiday availability
• Worked in facility settings and in outdoor events.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Has working knowledge of ESPN's security equipment, systems, procedures, and standards.
• Law enforcement experience in event planning
• Strong liaison relationship with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies

• High school degree or equivalent

The hiring range for this Remote position is $89,348.80 - $122,854.60 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
