The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
We're looking for a Senior Tester to join the Fortnite Performance and Memory QA team. You'll thrive in this role if you're a detail-oriented problem-solver who's passionate about ensuring top-tier performance and stability across platforms and products. You'll love this role if you enjoy problem-solving, teamwork, and creating test coverage for a variety of platforms and products for all of Fortnite. In this role, you will
• Design and execute test cases for performance and memory across Fortnite platforms (PC, consoles, mobile), and Products
• Perform exploratory testing when needed to assist in performance investigations
• Analyze performance metrics and memory usage using in-house tools and third-party profilers
• Work closely with development teams to identify bottlenecks, regressions, and optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with other QA disciplines to align test coverage and share findings
• Self-prioritize day-to-day work
What we're looking for
• Technical software and troubleshooting skills
• 18+ months of testing experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expertise in logging and defining defects in bug-tracking databases
• Experience working with multiple disciplines in a delivery environment
• Experience testing within an embedded QA team
• Proficiency in time management
• Familiarity with creating or executing testing on current gaming platforms
• Experience performance and memory data profiling/capturing tools
• ISTQB Foundations certification
