What We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
We're looking for a Senior Test Lead to join our UK team in overseeing our external QA teams in the EU across a range of products including Fortnite Battle Royale and Fall Guys. You'll love this role if you have a passion for both people and process, as your main focus will be supporting our third-party vendors' teams of testers to grow and s/ucceed as fully embedded members of the development team.
In this role, you will
• Understand current and proposed future changes for Fortnite and Fall Guys projects deeply enough to assess QA needs
• Collaborate with QA Leads to develop staffing plan and approach to balance workloads across projects and ensure highest priority tasks are allocated appropriately
• Ensure vendors are providing the best test leads and testers and that they are positioned to make the greatest possible impact
• Review and feedback on test plans and test cases owned by external vendors to maintain standards
• Supervise high-level tasking of testers and test leads to ensure the highest priority testing tasks are done. Providing constructive guidance to third party vendors on their performance
• Track and report on defect rates of test cycles and escalate major concerns appropriately
• Support the growth of our internal QA teams with coaching and mentorship
What we're looking for
• 5 + Years Test Experience with 3 + years of leadership and management experience
• Experience of managing 3rd party testing consultancies
• Experience managing and growing people effectively beyond low-level testers
• Technical software or troubleshooting skills (degree in Computer Science or equivalent, self-taught, or relevant experience)
• Employees will be required to be within commutable distance to the assigned office or studio to be available for in-person meetings and events as needed
• Experience working with bug tracking systems such as Jira. This includes logging bugs, tracking active issues, following up on completed tasks, and reporting on issues and project status
