What You'll Do
We're looking for a Software Programmer to help bridge Unreal Engine end users from various industries, locations, and levels of experience with Epic's development team. The ideal candidate is a senior C++ programmer with experience in real-time applications who is customer-focused and has excellent communication skills.
In this role, you will
• Engage licensees in person, via video, or email to achieve the best possible results.
• Provide programming consultation to Unreal Engine licensees as they navigate difficult problems.
• Write well-documented and optimized code for fixes and feature improvements
• Debug, review, and analyze minor and major development issues, including but not limited to bugs, crashes, and runtime performance challenges.
• Work with customers and technical partners from multiple industries to ensure future releases of Unreal Engine continues to meet their needs.
• Drive the creation and development of knowledge-sharing resources, including live presentations, whitepapers, tutorials, and knowledge articles.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members
What we're looking for
• Professional experience working in gameplay systems on UE4/UE5
• Senior-level experience developing gameplay features and systems with C++
• Experience shipping projects on multiple platforms
• Senior-level experience in tying multiple gameplay sub-systems together on shipped titles
• Strong written/verbal communication skills, including the ability to give technical presentations to audiences of varying technical backgrounds
• A creative problem solver with a passion for helping other developers
• Self-motivated individual who will take ownership of the technical relationship with developers and work proactively to reduce friction and improve processes
• Experience shipping titles for mobile and console is a plus
• Experience writing robust multithreaded code is a plus
• Experience with modding and asset versioning. Experience modifying or leveraging UE Gameplay features such as GAS, Character Movement Components, and Enhanced Input are a plus
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$165,686 — $243,007 USD
British Columbia Base Pay Range
$175,353 — $257,184 CAD
