What You'll Do
As an Unreal Cloud Services team member, you will build the ultimate suite of cloud-based, real-time collaborative content creation tools based on Unreal Engine. You set the agenda to empower content developers worldwide to accomplish their ideas in a seamless, cooperative, and distributed environment.
In this role, you will
• Work on our core Rust and C libraries that underpin our desktop and cloud-based collaboration tools
• Integrate our core libraries with Unreal Engine as well as other client and server software
• Analyze and optimize the performance of our foundational technologies. You will work with hashing and compression algorithms, virtual file systems, and cutting-edge network protocols deployed on multiple operating systems
• Identify necessary improvements and create technical specifications for both yourself and your peers to deliver on
• Work closely with the Product team to make sure our technical implementations align with the long-term vision for our collaboration products
• Cooperate tightly with our Engine, Backend, Infrastructure, and Web teams to ensure we deliver robust cross-functional solutions
What we're looking for
• Demonstrated excellent native coding skills e.g. Rust, C++, or C
• Demonstrated contributions to performance-sensitive systems software
• Performance-minded with excellent knowledge of profiling and optimization
• Experience with cloud and distributed systems
• Experience writing async multithreaded code
• Experience in file systems, IPC, networking, and standard web protocols (HTTP, GRPC,...)
• Experience in native UI programming and frameworks is a plus
• Experience working with Unreal Engine and a good understanding of its tech stack is a plus
• Highly collaborative with excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
This role is open to multiple locations in North America and Europe (excluding CA, NY, & WA).
