Job Description
QUALITY ASSURANCE

What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games are collaborating on an all-new games and entertainment universe. In addition to being a world-class games experience, this new persistent universe will offer a multitude of opportunities for consumers to play, watch, and engage with content, characters, and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more. Players, gamers, and fans of all kinds will be able to create their own stories and experiences, express their fandom in a distinctly Disney way, and share content with each other in ways that they love. Come join us in creating the future of interactive entertainment. Epic Games is looking for an SDET to join our team. As an SDET, your primary role will be to enhance our software quality processes by significantly reducing testing time and increasing efficiency. You will achieve this by automating repetitive manual tasks and developing robust testing tools, ultimately streamlining the workflow of our QA teams.

In this role, you will
• Work on a team that aims to grow test automation and scale services and tooling to meet the needs of Epic's portfolio
• Design, develop, and maintain test tools and automation frameworks. This includes building backend services to facilitate testing needs
• Plan, design, and implement complex system-level test scenarios
• Enable developers, testers, and analysts to author automation test scripts, implement automation best practices, and help lay the foundation of scalable, automated test solutions
• Track performance metrics testing patterns, optimize product verification and release processes, collaborate with Programmers, QA, and other SDETs across teams and projects
• Build relationships and partnerships with internal customers and stakeholders across Epic
• Bring innovation in the gaming industry testing

What we're looking for
• Proven experience in the design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of automated tests and frameworks
• Knowledge of C# and C++ languages; scripted languages such as Python, Javascript, or other languages a big plus
• Experience with tooling development and build pipelines
• Experience with end-to-end, functional, and unit tests
• Experience working collaboratively with team members on a common codebase using version control tools (e.g., Perforce, Git)
• Knowledge or experience with building and testing orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GHA)
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure. (AWS is a plus)
• Experience with Polyglot development, working between full-stack systems. I.e., a full-stack web application (service and frontend)
• Games industry experience is a plus

This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).
