Job Description
QUALITY ASSURANCE
What We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
We're looking for a QA Programmer within Epic Online Services Helper (EOSH) to help us make the future of our products strong! You will work to develop and implement automation test strategies and utilize technical tooling to expand the breadth and depth of our QA coverage in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a QA Programmer, you will also help to shape the team's approach to automation, risk assessment, and test execution with opportunities to collaborate with other QA teams.
In this role, you will
• Work with QA analysts, QA leadership, SDETs, product owners, and other developers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, plan test coverage, and, crucially, build tooling and automation to improve efficiency across the team
• Examine technical gaps and automation initiatives between geographically distributed teams to deliver the highest quality version of EOSH possible
• Build and drive test strategies and test plans to cover multiple features in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Use a mix of technical and manual QA skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across your product to analyze the quality of said product while troubleshooting reported defects and internal issues
• Report and track data quality and use that data to drive conversations around product quality and development health, supporting the dev team before, during, and after deployments
• Test integrations between the EOSH and the products it supports
What we're looking for
• Professional QA experience in a software or game testing environment
• Professional coding experience or Computer Science Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience creating tools, scripts, or automation suites to help manual testing burdens
• Familiarity with languages like Python, C#, or TypeScript
• Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently collaborate on technical topics and features
• Technical understanding of service and native level applications, including automation, functional, qualitative, and performance against consistently iterative development
• Technical understanding of CI/CD workflows
• Familiarity with Docker
