What You'll Do Epic is looking for a Senior Pipeline Developer to join our Quixel team. In this role, you'll leverage Python, VEX, C++, and Houdini to create efficient tools that streamline the creation and processing of photogrammetry assets. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining Python modules that form the backbone of production tools while engaging in C++ development for both Houdini and Unreal Engine-related tasks. You will design custom workflows, optimize procedural systems, and collaborate closely with both technical and creative teams to ensure the pipeline evolves in line with Quixel's production needs, with a particular emphasis on automation. In this role, you will • Develop and maintain robust photogrammetry processing pipelines focused on geometry and texture manipulation • Leverage Python, VEX, C++, and Houdini to create efficient tools for photogrammetry asset creation and processing • Work with cloud infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain automation tools • Create and maintain Python modules that form the backbone of Quixel's production tools • Engage in C++ development for Houdini and Unreal Engine-related tasks • Champion automation initiatives to boost consistency and scalability while reducing cost • Tackle integration tasks, incorporating libraries such as CGAL and Unreal Engine's underlying mesh processing tools What we're looking for • Expertise in Python, VEX, C++, and Houdini, with a strong foundation in geometry and texture manipulation • Proven experience in developing robust production pipelines, particularly in photogrammetry asset creation and processing • Practical experience with Houdini and Unreal Engine; C++ knowledge is a bonus • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple time zones • Excellent communication skills, including the capacity for transparent, concise weekly progress reporting • Demonstrated ability to design custom workflows and optimize procedural systems with a focus on automation • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges • A commitment to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve production processes continuously This role is open to multiple locations in North America and Europe (excluding CA, NY, & WA).
