What We Do
We raise the quality level of audio in all Epic game titles and technologies as well as engage with a world-class team to create amazing gaming experiences.
What You'll Do
As an audio lead/manager, you will manage and develop members of the audio team, while also contributing to creative and technical audio efforts at Epic. This position will be a 50% balance between management and contributing content/work to the audio team, but that balance may shift as the team grows.
In this role, you will
• Manage, mentor and grow the careers of the Epic Audio team
• Help contribute to career growth and educational development of the entire Epic audio community
• Contribute as part of the audio creative leadership team
• Help create and implement audio assets alongside the audio team
What we're looking for
• Experience as part of a game development team as audio lead and/or manager
• A high-level understanding of the game development process across disciplines
• A portfolio of successfully shipped games as an audio lead. Proven ability to set visionary goals within the audio field
• Broad experience in all areas of game audio production, including audio content, technical audio, VO, music and audio production pipelines
• Experience shipping games with Unreal, Unity, or similar proprietary game editor on multiple platforms.
• 5+ years experience working as an interactive audio designer/developer
• 3+ years people/team management experience as an Audio Lead or Manager at a game development company
• Creating a multi-discipline collaborative experience, both creative and technical
• A growth mindset and eagerness to mentor and develop talent; team empathy and desire to foster an inclusive environment
• Cross-discipline collaborative experience, in both creative and technical areas
• People management and performance management skills
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$165,686 — $221,007 USD
