What You'll Do
We are looking for a Lead Producer to join us on the Fortnite Core Tech team. In this position you will partner with the broader Fortnite org to help drive stability, performance, and engine development. Our team of producers focuses on platform, rendering, performance, server, game architectures, and our build pipeline. We're looking for individuals who excel in multitasking, thrive in chaos, great communication skills, and are comfortable managing roadmaps and schedules of R&D initiatives. Ideal candidates have experience in game development or hardware frameworks, and have directly worked with programmers and the systems they develop.
In this role, you will
• Partners with the FNTech Programming Director to define strategies and initiatives for the vertical. Develops a roadmap feedback loop for the vertical which can speak to health, risk progress, and roll that up to the broader org.
• Helps scale the team org and operations to support the broader Metaverse vision
• Directly manages the Tech-Platform and Tech-Perf Prod Lead, their production org, and their initiatives. Responsible for individual growth plans and progress, that we hit quality bars for each release, and that their initiatives achieve the desired outcomes.
• Will own some complex initiatives that needs senior direction - for example Lighthouse, UEFN
• Operates 50% at a high level and 50% in the details managing technical initiatives
What we're looking for
• Deep experience working with programmers and on technical projects
• Able to drive high level goals/vision and also dig into technical details. Need to manage outcomes for the vertical but also directly own some initiatives
• Understands how complex systems work, what they do, and why. Wants to know how everything works.
• Strong skills in organizing unstructured work and managing multiple competing needs
• Experience with game engines, platforms, rendering, tools, backend systems is highly desired
• Deep experience managing large team roadmaps, rallying individual teams around common goals
• Experience in managing/growing team orgs to scale for demand
• Experienced working with strong personalities and still achieve the desired results
This role is open to multiple locations across North America and Europe (including CA & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
California Base Pay Range
$180,559 — $264,820 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$164,144 — $240,745 USD
