What You'll Do
You will lead a team of highly experienced programmers working on core components of Unreal's rendering engine, such as the Render Hardware Interface, Render Graph, streaming system, profiling and debugging systems, etc. You will tie together all the initiatives happening in this space and form a coherent vision for keeping Unreal at the forefront of innovation.
In this role, you will
• Design, build and support state of the art rendering infrastructure used to drive Unreal Engine forward
• Have authority and responsibility for projects that have high organizational impact
• Work directly with partners and licensees to align the engine to practical use cases
• Manage a team of highly skilled, experienced rendering programmers
• Devise development plans
What we're looking for
• Experience in a lead programmer role, with demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively
• People management skills: mentoring and motivating programmers, delivering feedback, conflict resolution, building trust
• Strong C++ skills and the ability to code and architect low-level rendering systems
• Broad knowledge of graphics APIs such as D3D11, D3D12, Vulkan, Metal and console platforms
• Great debugging and profiling skills
• Deep understanding of GPUs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Unreal Engine experience is ideal
