What We Do
Epic's multi-specialized team of attorneys and legal professionals, partner across our organization to provide legal solutions, as well as, consult and inform on the products we build and games we develop.
What You'll Do
Epic's regulatory team advises the company on newly enacted laws and regulations as well as works alongside our Public Policy Team to monitor regulatory developments. Partnering closely with our subject matter experts, Product Counsel and Compliance Team, you will design compliance programs and educate counsel regarding regulatory requirements. You will also lead the company's response to regulatory investigations and requests for information from regulators.
In this role, you will
• Assess and provide guidance to Legal leadership, Epic senior management, Product Counsel and the Compliance Team on key global laws and regulations.
• Advise and support the management of multi-stakeholder regulatory compliance projects.
• Monitor changes to the relevant regulatory landscape, including regulatory enforcement actions and identify trends.
• Disseminate relevant legislative updates to relevant stakeholders and teams.
• Assist in monitoring and tracking emerging regulatory policy in collaboration with the Public Policy team, to develop and implement regulatory and policy strategy.
• Support advocacy and engagement with regulators and trade associations.
• Lead Epic's response to global regulatory inquiries and investigations.
What we're looking for
• A qualified attorney with at least 3 years post-qualification experience working in regulatory compliance, either within a regulatory body, in-house or at a law firm.
• Demonstrable experience handling regulatory enforcement actions brought by a regulatory body.
• Prior work and/or substantial knowledge of the tech industry. A good working knowledge of tech or videogames is an advantage.
• An individual who is comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder environment, navigating complex issues, driving high-risk/impact projects, and working and making sound judgments and decisions in ambiguous situations where clear guidance is lacking or may not exist.
• Experience working proactively, independently, and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of individuals and teams.
This role is open to multiple locations across North America and Europe (including CA, NYC, & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
New York City Base Pay Range
$190,538 — $279,456 USD
California Base Pay Range
$190,538 — $279,456 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$186,569 — $273,634 USD
