What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for an Asset Implementer on our Fortnite Character team
In this role, you will
• Implement 2D/3D artwork from internal and external sources into stable, workable assets in engine (materials and texture settings, LODs, animation plugins, etc.)
• Work on multiple assets simultaneously and update other disciplines once work is done
• Problem-solving efficiently, finding a problem, and communicating with various disciplines to find a solution
• Identify problems within the implementation pipeline, working with engineers to create new tools and processes
• Organize asset structures and keep them uniform across multiple programs, fixing and re-implementing assets when errors occur
• Follow assets down the entire Concept-to-Gameplay pipeline, keeping assets up to date in engine throughout their entire lifetime
What we're looking for
• A Generalist who has knowledge of various art and production computer programs (Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Perforce, Jira, Unreal)
• Have a QA mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and make fixes to assets as needed
• Can keep organized and ahead of the curve in a fast-paced production environment
• A moderate understanding of UE5 and its various editors (FX, 2D, 3D, Levels, animation, etc.)
• A self-sustaining person who can take charge of their own work, but will reach out and communicate with others on a daily basis when needed
