DreamWorks Animation Television has an exciting new opportunity for an Editor (Dialogue) to join its in-house team in Glendale, CA. Our Editors (Dialogue) cut, assemble, edit, and clean dialogue for television animation.

''What would you say you do here?''
• Build an Edit Master Record (EMR) of episode's dialogue based on circle-take notes and Director's input
• Review all recorded lines for clarity and potential quality issues; advise Recording Engineer and Production Staff of any issues
• Review EMR and/or pick-ups with Director and other creative supervisors
• Distribute EMR and any revised EMRs to relevant Production Staff
• Make and maintain a library of alternate takes, walla, and additional lines for future use
• Pre-spot episodes using the character library and host automated dialogue replacement (ADR) spotting sessions with Director and other creative supervisors
• Edit dialogue recorded for pickups and/or ADR
• Cut in ADR, ensure accurate sync, and clean dialogue in preparation for mix
• Review episodes with Director and other creative supervisors once all dialogue is recorded and finalized, then distribute to appropriate staff and post house(s)
• Ensure timelines are consistently met and communicate progress of work to supervisors and to appropriate production staff

Qualifications/Requirements
''What do I need to have in order to do this job?''
• Ideally 5 or more years of experience in sound editing
• Sophisticated knowledge and experience using ProTools
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects and meet timelines
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environment
• Selected candidate will need to join the Editors Union (700) if not yet currently a member
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal/DreamWorks Animation worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

Desired Characteristics

''What can I offer?''
• At least 3 years experience working in television animation
• Experience using Izotope RX in conjunction with ProTools for Audio Cleanup.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
