Senior Reporter, TV
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The Senior Reporter, TV will work closely with the Senior Editor, TV to help identify and cover news stories that can benefit from original reporting, and tap into their rolodex of sources to ensure that PEOPLE is publishing deeply reported celebrity content and consistently breaking news in the TV and celebrity world. The Senior Reporter will work in many content areas contributing ideas, reporting help and writing, with an eye towards traffic driving content. They will pitch and write for both print and digital platforms and will be expected to produce multiple digital stories per day which span across breaking news articles to in-depth features. They are also expected to coordinate the production of multiple print stories per week, which includes pitching original ideas, coordinating interviews and collaborating with Art and Photo departments. Important to have entertainment industry contacts as they may be charged with booking talent for specific projects.

Education:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism or communications, related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent digital and print writing skills, a deep knowledge of the celebrity news landscape, an eye for a good story, ability to work well with many people across job functions, knowledge of analytics, SEO and audience engagement. Great celebrity contacts and the ability to make friends with anyone. Incredible interviewing abilities. Strong news instincts.

Salary: New York: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 California: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00
