INV Associate Editor, Special Projects

Investopedia seeks an eager, organized Associate Editor of Special Projects to help create best-in-class content and multimedia packages that engage readers on such topics as retirement planning, homebuying, investing, and managing money as a young adult. You will support the planning, production, and launch of annual packages, ensuring the online and print content is as accurate, thorough, and inclusive as possible.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping readers understand complex topics and eager to grow their knowledge about investing and personal finance. Editorial experience is essential, as is a keen attention to detail, excellent communication and project organization skills, and an ''act now, not later'' attitude. We're looking for a creative editor who wants to expand their professional skills beyond writing and copy editing.

About the Role

• Assist with freelance assignment planning and distribution, including basic SEO research and writing detailed assignment instructions
• Research, produce, and fact-check content as necessary
• Collaborate with other Investopedia teams, such social media, video, design, sales, and marketing
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Routinely contribute new ideas for written and visual content

About You
• 2+ years of editorial experience at reputable publishing brands, preferably in personal finance, investing, or financial news
• Excellent project management skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
• Solution-oriented and will reach out to key members of editorial teams on your own to overcome challenges and solve problems
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized
• Enjoy learning new skills and topics in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in the business side of editorial publishing
• Knowledge of AP Style and SEO a plus, but not required
