Associate Editorial Director, Parents

About Your Role

Dotdash Meredith is looking for a Commerce Associate Editorial Director to oversee the editorial strategy and manage the day-to-day workflow of the Parents commerce team. They ensure the smooth publishing of new content, article updates, and implementation of affiliate partner links. Our team creates shopping content across a wide range of parenting categories-from strollers and car seats to toys, clothing, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital media production as well as commerce content and is comfortable managing teams and communicating with stakeholders. This role reports into the Commerce Group Director for Health.

About Your Contributions:
• Manage a team of editors, working with them to identify new content ideas and update existing articles, making sure we are adhering to brand voice and style.
• Manage progress toward monthly and quarterly team goals, including content production, budget, revenue, product testing, and tentpole events.
• Analyze traffic and revenue and make both editorial and data-driven decisions based on your knowledge.
• Prioritize day-to-day needs alongside special projects, and support your team's goals, while also taking into account organizational priorities and changes.
• Keep pulse on industry trends and competition.
• Participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders to review metrics, discuss content improvement ideas, and provide a progress status on the editorial roadmap.
• Use editorial judgment to develop and oversee implementation of content features within content, such as pull quotes, charts and graphs, images, and data tables.

About You:
• 8+ years of experience in the digital media space, with 2+ years management experience, commerce experience required
• Passion for and/or knowledge of the parenting and commerce space
• Experience with SEO best practices and tools and how they relate to content
• Proficiency in project management tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or Airtable
• A track record of growth in your past roles
• Experience scaling copy and editorial operations in a high-growth environment
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree required

Pay Range
Salary: $85,680 - $122,400
