Disney+ Hotstar is The Walt Disney Company's new Direct to Consumer video entertainment service targeted at families and kids. The service will consist of long form and short form content built around six key brands (Disney, PIXAR, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star) with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms (e.g., televisions, mobile devices, PCs).
The role will be a key player in helping Disney+ Hotstar to scale the business by integrating Disney+ Hotstar platform with service providers and other strategic partners across Southeast Asia region.,
This integral role requires technical expertise to ensure successful product and partner integrations through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Areas of Responsibility
• Prepare and validate BRDs (Business Requirement Documents) for strategic initiatives.
• Obtain feedback from business on upcoming product features
• Maintain SEA product prioritization requests
• Collaborate and closely work with the internal and external stakeholders to launch successful projects in timely manner
• Provide technical inputs in business and partner meetings
• Identify and execute upon new opportunities to improve the commercial aspects of our product and partnerships
Professional Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in working with OTT platform in either a product or tech role
• Strong knowledge in OTT, telco and payment landscape in Southeast Asia
• Strong cross-functional and project management skills
• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
Skills
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage product launches, feature upgrades, product roadmaps, facilitate partner integration discussions, function as the technical lead to Partnerships and Commercial teams.
