Job Summary:

The Senior Real Time Developer assists in creative and technical development for real-time data visualization projects, ideas, and applications from concept through delivery. This position should provide knowledge and assistance in traditional creative & technical tools including graphic design, motion, 3D, and game development principals. They will maintain infrastructure, tools, and services to support data-rich, real-time, and automation friendly real-time graphics systems. This position works closely with internal partners, to create tools, workflows, and processes that can be automated for wide-scale production across Product & Data Engineering and ESPN. This will require advanced experience of Unreal Engine blueprints. This position expands capability to automate end-user game engine customization for PDE platforms.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Debug and deploy software enhancements for game engine pipelines and features in Unreal Engine 5
• Calibration and configuration of instrumented camera tracking solutions and studio hardware / software
• Provide ongoing support for developed software, including creating technical documentation and training materials.
• Coordinate with production clients to provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and support
• Participate in team code shares and code reviews.
• Communicate with vendors
• All other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
• Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in camera telemetry systems
• Familiarity developing with Unreal Engine Blueprints
• Firm understanding of broadcast hardware infrastructure
• Familiarity with version management software applications (Perforce,GIT,Plastic,etc.)
• Strong work ethic
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
• • Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in media, game design or related industries
• Experience collaborating with production and content creation teams
