Sr. Project Manager – Production Technology

Program Management & Enabling Technologies team, you'll be joining a group of seasoned, dedicated technologists supporting world class productions, developing the next generation of production technology, as well as solving a range of interesting problems in innovative ways in an exciting and dynamic environment.

We're looking for a senior project manager to oversee the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects supporting the Post Production Engineering's Build program. These projects will include executive office upgrades, conference room builds and creating and upgrading production screening rooms to support continuously changing production review requirements. You'll play the critical role of implementing key initiatives for production groups and within the Technology team. You'll report to the Manager of Program Management & Enabling Tech.

Responsibilities:
• Manage technology initiatives for the Build program that includes the build out of technical spaces, technical system implementation, and standardization of technology. The project management would be from end-to-end, including gathering requirements and defining scope, schedule and resourcing management for the Post-Production Engineering teams (40 Shop, Machine Shop, Audio Visual Engineering)
• Lead large scale complex Build projects that span across internal and external departments and at times with vendors
• Serve as key point of contact for stakeholders across the Studio lot to intake Build requests, provide updates, assess priority and track schedules
• Support and track all technical requests requiring the Audio Visual team, 40 Shop or Machine Shop
• Creation and management of Bills of Materials and tracking of asset procurement and deployment
• Update necessary channels with detailed notes, status, picture documentation and other for review and reference by stakeholders.
• Lead the sprint kick off and close for the Build program reporting out on the accomplishments and misses within each sprint.
• Lead quarterly portfolio planning and project road mapping, including resource capacity planning and defining objectives and key results (OKRs)
• Ensure clear reporting of project status from project teams including timelines, milestone tracking, and issue identification to program management and stakeholders
• Prioritize and escalate critical operational tasks, execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Maintain KPI dashboards related to program metrics via MS Power BI
• Apply analytical and critical thinking to identify team inefficiencies and risk areas, and implement projects or processes to improve operations
• Create workflow diagrams of production technology processes and identify opportunities to streamline processes or improve efficiency

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent years of experience
• 5+ of experience in Technical Project Management, utilizing waterfall and agile methodology
• 5+ year's experience managing and developing teams to meet expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and organizing work effectively
• Strong experience in managing technical operations teams (i.e., IT hardware engineers & software developers)
• Good meeting facilitation skills and effective team player
• Extensive experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet and familiar with Jira.
• Ability to develop and present business cases via PowerPoint or Keynote
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to create workflow drawings and process maps utilizing Lucidchart
• Experience working with unions or trades

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a Post Production environment
• Basic experience with D-Tools or similar tools for tracking BOM's, Estimates and Documentation
• Basic experience with Scheduall or similar scheduling and billing tool
• Experienced with Business Intelligence tools such as MS Power BI
• PMP certification
• Certified Scrummaster

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA $126,400 to $169,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $126,400 to $169,500 Per Year ($ USD)
