The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products.

Responsibilities
• Design and implement tier-1 microservices in Java.
• Implement asynchronous processes to run in the cloud for various data transformation operations.
• Work on tech design for various initiatives and projects as per business needs.
• Be involved in code reviews and architecture reviews for team members.
• Participate in Agile methodology and SCRUM processes such as Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives with the team.
• Provide on-call support for critical services on a rotational basis.
• Own features/functionality and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and robust architecture.
• Communicate and work with multi-functional business partners.
• Ramp up on new domains and technologies.

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in backend services development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
• Proven track record of driving consensus on backend development using Javac.
• Knowledge of at least one object-oriented language.
• Experience working with cloud providers.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and no-SQL).
• Experience investigating technical components and taking ownership of feature development.

The hiring range for this position in LA is $112,600 - $151,000 and NYC and Seattle is $118,000.00-$158,200.00 and SF is $123,400 - $165,400. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
