The Ads & Data Platform team at Disney is at the forefront of building and delivering advanced technology solutions that support Disney's multi-billion-dollar advertising business. Spanning Disney's streaming and linear channels, this team's impact is extensive, ranging from core infrastructure development to viewer-focused ad formats seen by audiences worldwide.

Key innovations, such as the proprietary Disney Ad Server and DRAX, Disney's programmatic advertising solution, form the backbone of Disney's advertising ecosystem, playing a critical role in driving the company's future success. The Ad Infrastructure team is looking for a skilled software and cloud engineer to help advance Disney's advertising infrastructure big data stack. This role involves building and maintaining big data infrastructure platforms that derive critical insights for Disney's advertising business from digital platforms such as Disney+ and Hulu. By enabling modern DevOps practices, our team accelerates feature releases while ensuring stability in production. Additionally, our platforms and tools are designed to streamline operational processes, reducing the cognitive load on teams and empowering them to focus on delivering business value.

Job Summary
• You'll write automation tools to support developers deploying and running cloud data infrastructure.
• You will implement and execute best practices and security standards for operating in the cloud.
• You will contribute to a library of shared Terraform modules.
• When we hit the limits of our scale, you will participate in investigations and RCA's to continuously improve by learning from failures.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Provide support to data engineering teams for our tooling and platform.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors in Computer Sciences or similar field
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in a software engineering role
• 2+ years of experience with Python or Go
• 1+ years of experience with a Spark or Flink
• 1+ years of experience with Airflow or Databricks
• 1+ years of experience with running Docker containers on Kubernetes or EKS
• 1+ years of experience writing Terraform for AWS
• Experience with DevOps platforms Jenkins or Spinnaker
• Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Certifications
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems and Bash scripting

The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA or New York, NY is between $120,300 – $161,300, Los Angeles, CA is between $114,900 – $154,100 year, in San Francisco is between $125,800 – $168,700. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
