Servicenow Platform Architect

Job Description

The Service Now Platform Architect is a hands-on technical role within the Corporate Software Development team within the office of the CIO. The successful candidate will analyze business needs and based on that analysis, identify gaps in the enterprise architecture or in the portfolio roadmap and create implementable plans for delivery.

Responsibilities:
• Produces technical solutions with a detailed narrative for implementation, including documentation and collaboration with development team & partners
• Participates in and leads formal technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and other R&D activity by providing demonstrations and solutioning for vetting, making recommendations, and facilitating client buy-in.
• Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
• Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests, and integrates application components.
• Provides application software development services and technical support for defined projects and overall platform roadmap.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains software applications.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and documented.

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience developing on the ServiceNow platform
• ServiceNow Experience should include scripting, platform configuration, design, and deployment.
• Candidates should possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including the customization of the core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and CSM
• Custom application development on the ServiceNow platform including Custom UI Pages and content in the CMS
• ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA) certification
• Certified Implementation Specialist certification in one of the OOTB ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, etc.)
• Experience creating technical solutions for proposal development during procurement phases
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Integration experience (SOAP, REST, and JSON as well as JDBC and file imports)
• Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
• Administration of a ServiceNow instance including the management of users, groups, and roles, CMS Development, ACLs, business rules, workflows, UI actions, UI policies, dictionary, and catalog items Orchestration and Discovery experience a plus
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is a plus
• ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certifications a plus
• Experience with working or developing with JavaScript - HTML5, Jelly, jQuery, and AngularJS a plus
• Experience with rebuilding legacy applications in ServiceNow a plus.
