As Publicity Executive at The Walt Disney Company, you will work closely with the Senior Manager to implement campaign strategies and liaise with the media on publicity I support of Studio and Franchise activity. Our ideal person is creative, loves to be on the go, gets energy from people engagement, and is on top of the most recent reviews and activity coming from other markets.

Your main areas of responsibility will include:
• Communicating with the media, as directed by the Senior Manager to participate in International junkets/premieres/country days
• Execute PR campaigns for Studio, Disney+ & Franchise, including media release development and distribution, and influencer engagement aligned to the overarching campaign strategy.
• Communicating with the local media to secure editorial/interview placement and provide materials and resources as needed
• Conduct effective ongoing conversations with media to build rapport and uphold Disney as a content market leader
• Develop media promotions activity for relevant Studio, Disney+ and Franchise campaigns, generating incremental media value

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
• Tertiary/degree qualifications in Business (Marketing/Journalism Media/Media Communications)
• Proven understanding of the Australian media landscape and established relationships with key editorial partners
• Cross-functional/cross-business team engagement and collaboration
• Demonstrated experience writing and preparing pitches/materials for media
• Experience managing events, budgets, and presenting engaging content
• Experience with social media platforms and the influencer space
• Flexibility and adaptability – ability to deal with ever-changing deadlines and resource requirements
• Open attitude with a desire to seek input and feedback
• A passion for Disney and the entertainment industry, and an understanding of the Disney Brands and values.
