Project Manager, Digital Marketing
The Disney Entertainment segment includes the company's full portfolio of entertainment media and content businesses globally, including streaming.
The Digital Marketing team oversees creative and programming of Disney Entertainment's Made-for-Kid (MFK) YouTube channels. The team is responsible for content development and production, channel strategy, program planning, publishing and channel operations. Additionally, this team works closely with Brand and Franchise, Studios, Consumer Products, Governance, Legal, and Finance. The team manages channel operations and is responsible for adhering to TWDC and YouTube MFK policies.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing workflows, schedules, budgets, and deliverables associated with the Digital Marketing team's YouTube content creation, production, and global content distribution needs. The role interfaces with internal producer-editors and external vendors to ensure productions are on schedule, within budget, and tracking for timely delivery to align with Programming & Strategy rollouts. The Project Manager will assess delivered assets, including performing QC, to confirm correct technical specifications are met. The Manager will manage the content library, organizing assets into the designated, central asset repository. The PM is responsible for managing the localization vendor and processes to facilitate adaptation of English language deliverables into required foreign language versions, seeing through the delivery of the versioned assets to international counterparts.
The Project Manager should be well-versed in digital content production management, with a solid understanding of production schedules, budgets, technical specifications, asset management, and the QC and localization processes. They should be a detail-oriented multi-tasker with the ability to manage workload autonomously with thoroughness and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee production workflow, schedules, and budgets of internal production partners and external vendor productions through all stages of a project pipeline
• Engage 3rd-party vendors, securing project bids and managing contracting with the necessary internal teams
• Generate and maintain project schedules and distribute trackers to stakeholders ensuring awareness of milestones, delays and any relevant updates/issues; offer solutions as needed
• Track budgets, costs and invoicing working with Finance and Optimization teams
• Manage asset delivery, ensuring technical specifications are accurate and receipt of all required deliverables is fulfilled
• Perform QC on delivered assets; require re-delivery from vendor or make necessary fixes internally
• Manage assets into and within the designated, central repository
• Liaise with Digital Marketing Creative partners and Programming & Strategy partners to ensure content delivers as required and on time to fulfill Digital Marketing plan
• Lead localization process with vendor, including managing and tracking costs for internal chargebacks, working with international counterparts to ensure versioned assets are delivered in designated languages on time
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in video/audio production in the entertainment space, preferably digital production
• Experience managing a high volume of projects concurrently, anticipating needs and changing dynamics with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Box, Airtable, Keynote/PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere
• Strong understanding of content production, schedules, bidding, and budget management, specifically digital content and YouTube
• Proven track record of managing and building relationships with external vendors
• An affinity for children's content and animation
• Experience in localization and international dubbing management
• Quality control proficiency
• Detail-oriented, resourceful and dependable with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, digital-forward environment
• Efficient with time with the ability to meet deadlines and self-direct time management
• BA/BS Production/Digital Production or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $97,600 - $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
