About the Role & Team

Are you a presentation scheduler who is looking to grow their career with an iconic brand? We are looking for a new member to join our Presentation and Media Planning team for the National Geographic and National Geographic Wild channels! The Presentation & Media Planning team is responsible for crafting and developing all on air promotional plans, strategy, and on-air schedules to build the National Geographic and National Geographic Wild channel feeds. As well as supporting programming and marketing initiatives and working in collaboration with the Owned Media team, Ad Sales and Promotions teams internally, and Sky Media, Sky Clarity, Sky Teleshopping, Sky Ingest, and Sky TX externally.

Presentation involves completing the daily TX schedules and downloading to TX ready for playout. In order to achieve this the presentation scheduler must take into account promo allocation weightings, contractual Teleshopping requirements, Programming priorities, Clarity creation, Continuity creation and maximising commercial revenue.

This role will require you to be based onsite 4 days a week at our Hammersmith offices in London.

Please note that on occasion this role may require you to be reachable out of core hours in order to help resolve unforeseen challenges.

What You Will Do
• Creation of TX Schedules taking into account promo, continuity, clarity and commercial strategies, while ensuring the schedule follows broadcast regulations at all times. Download into TX for playout no later than 6pm the day before, or Friday 6pm for Sunday and Monday – 21 hours (7 x 3 hrs)
• Creation, assignment and exporting of Presentation Templates, for optimum commercial revenue, promo strategy, contractual SF Teleshopping requirements and sponsorship assignment – 2 hours
• Plan and create Clarity documents and send to Sky for the creation of all dynamic graphics. Liaise with Sky producer daily to ensure accuracy and timely delivery for import into TX Schedule. Commission any clips or new graphic backgrounds needed from OnAir. Assign all offsets within the TX schedule for each individual element to ensure they air at the appropriate moment – 3 hours
• Plan channel continuity, taking into consideration programming priorities, send requirements along with all relevant synopses to freelance script writer. Check all returned scripts for accuracy and tone and send feedback regarding any changes needed. Arrange continuity recording with OnAir, QC all recorded VOs, create ingest document and send to Sky along with Audio files. Once ingested, export continuity file from Audio Mover and import into BSS. Assign all VOs to correct channel in BSS ready for placement in the TX Schedule – 3 Hours
• Liaise with Sky Teleshopping for the LF Teleshopping Schedule, check for and enter all new asset details into the Master Deal in BSS. Lisase with Operations for the download, QC and TX Packaging of all new Teleshopping assets ready for TX. Schedule all assets within the programme schedule in BSS and assign appropriate templates. Action all amendments throughout the month – 2 hours
• Check for accuracy, reconcile, process and send daily AsRuns files by 11 am deadline, to ensure all research data in techedge is correct and available in time and officially report the channel remained complaint to broadcast regulations – 2.5 hours (5 x 30 mins)
• Build detailed promo plan, using the promo allocation document, programme schedule and weighting document to ensure each campaign reaches its TVR target and is seen by the appropriate target demographic for optimal audience conversion – 3 hours
• QC all promos prior to sending for ingest, to ensure accuracy of information (title, date, time etc.) – 1 hour
• Take care of all changes required due to programming amendments, Promo discrepancies, and commercial changes – 3 hours
• Resolve any issues raised by TX regarding the playout of the channel out of hours, these could include but not restricted to, ingest issues, unsuitable programming assignment, channel drop outs, and technical failures.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience with Broadcast systems, preferably BSS.
• Experience within a broadcast environment, preferably Presentation.
• Knowledge of presentation scheduling (short-form scheduling) (additional training can be provided).
• Solid understanding of MS Excel and Word.
