About the Role & Team

Disney's Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The Disney+ Programming team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

The Disney+ Global Content Programming and Subscriber Engagement team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Scheduling; the Lead Scheduler will support the Disney+ Scheduling team daily by executing the global scheduling strategy for the platform. This role entails operational scheduling for various content types, including live events, SVOD programming, lean-back programming, and promotional assets. The Lead Scheduler will collaborate closely with teams such as Content Planning, Live Operations, Distribution Operations, and Platform Operations. Additionally, this position will be crucial in the daily auditing of schedules and data reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities
• Schedule on-service live events, lean-back channels, and promotional assets on Disney+, working closely with programming and operational teams.
• Develop and review reports for daily auditing of schedules and data reconciliation processes.
• Act as back-up scheduler for US, Canada, and Global Originals.
• Represent Disney+ Global Scheduling in meetings with a professional and enthusiastic attitude. Handle any challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and act as project manager for ad hoc requests and deliverables as they arise.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in program scheduling or a related field.
• Experience in scheduling for live events, linear TV, or SVOD.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Diplomatic with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in teams and matrixed organizations.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
• Proactive and self-sufficient in finding solutions and acquiring new skills.
• High emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit.
• Adaptable to new technologies and dynamic environments, excelling under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with live operations is a plus.
• Proficient in utilizing scheduling software, including Mediagenix WHATS'ON and Content Scheduler.

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in media, Communications, TV Production, or a related field.

Additional Information
• Local to LA and able to work in office up to 4 days a week.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $78,200 to $104,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
