About Disney Cruise Line Since launching in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry, providing a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and children can experience all Disney has to offer. Today, the award-winning Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its blueprint for family cruising with a fleet of five ships - the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish - and three more ships planned. One of these ships will exclusively homeport in Singapore for at least five years beginning in 2025, marking the cruise line's debut in Southeast Asia.
We are looking for an experienced Internal & Executive Communications Manager to lead and facilitate all internal and executive communication strategies across DCL Singapore, including communication vehicles, content creation, storytelling, executive engagement and events. This position collaborates with partners across the company to drive compelling and engaging internal and executive communication strategies that authentically represent the DCL business and Cast Members in the region.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Communications & Public Affairs DCL Singapore.
Responsibilities:
• Accountable for all internal and executive communication that effectively educates, engages and inspires internal and external audiences.
• Connect and integrate across the global business to uncover powerful stories that resonate with key audiences and demonstrate DCL's culture, key priorities, and values in action.
• Work closely with the Senior Manager Communications & Public Affairs to create key messages for both internal and executive messaging.
• Develop communication tools such as briefs and messaging for executive media interviews.
• Proactively shape communication by serving as a consultant, influencer and strategic thought partner to team, peers, leadership and business partners to solve business and audience needs
• Advise on appropriate communication vehicle and frequency, as well as oversee the development of internal and executive communications tactics.
• Conduct presentation preparation, event rehearsals and be on the ship to manage logistics and handle urgent needs, as required.
• Work alongside the Public Relations team to amplify overall communications needs, initiatives and activations
Requirements:
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience that can include a mix of experience within executive and internal communications, agency, corporate communications, public relations or public affairs
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience overseeing the development of strategic communication and content for both internal and external audiences
• Proven ability to be a self-starter and develop high-quality work product in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong executive presence and confidence with an understanding of how internal communications, executive communications and company culture intersect
• Leadership competencies in the ability to influence and persuade, building relationships with partners and stakeholders in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to translate complicated concepts into clear, compelling language for audiences ranging from key stakeholders to Cast Members to consumers
• A global mindset with an understanding of global trends and issues that could impact employees and communication
• Strong writing, presentation, storytelling, positioning and editing skills
• Experience using current technologies to support, schedule and analyze successful communication campaigns
