Digital Account Manager (FTC)
This is a 6 month fixed-term contract position, starting in December 2024/January 2025.
Please note we require employees to be based on-site at our Hammersmith office 4 days per week.
About the Role & Team
The Disney Advertising portfolio covers world leading brands within The Walt Disney Company's Media Networks segment and related IP's. This includes family favorites Disney, Pixar, Marvel, & Lucasfilm as well as general entertainment networks ABC, Star, & FX, the worldwide leader in sports, ESPN, and our iconic factual brand, National Geographic.
The Digital Account Manager is an important Client Services role within the London-based EMEA ad sales and operations organization. We are seeking a candidate that can add their knowledge and experience in media planning, account management, and ad operations to our sales support group, working alongside an experienced and diverse set of salespeople. The role will specifically focus on supporting branded content partnerships from our National Geographic Ad Sales and Creative Works teams, including activations on websites, social platforms and Disney+.
Designed to improve revenue, drive operational efficiency, and provide top tier sales and partner support, the Client Services team plays a vital role in reaching our targets and maintaining high standards in relationships with advertisers and agencies. Our support team strives for flawless execution, but when challenges inevitably arise, the Account Manager will be quick and creative in finding solutions. In this role you will be responsible for managing all elements of the campaign lifecycle, from planning to invoicing. This includes external communication and supporting clients, and collaboration with internal groups across Sales, Editorial, Technology, Finance, and Accounting.
Do you have a have an extensive knowledge of the digital media landscape (social media, display, video, programmatic and CTV), experience in planning and managing advertising campaigns, and familiarity with the general ad-serving and trafficking process? What You Will Do
• Provide pre-sale guidance, technical requirements, and planning for advertising opportunities across The Walt Disney Company's on and off-platform digital portfolio
• Work with Sales and buyers to build and revise media plans that improve revenue and meet client objectives
• Be responsible for the collection, quality control review, and implementation of assets to ensure a timely and accurate campaign launch
• Compile screen shots, provide reporting, implement creative swaps, and field all other client requests during campaign lifecycle
• Collaborate with Technology, Product, and Editorial teams to troubleshoot and deliver campaigns
• Identify, track, and analyze key metrics and use them to optimize campaign performance
• Work with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue tracking
• Assist with client retention by delivering the highest standard of service during pre, mid, and post-campaign support phases
• Provide case studies, benchmarks, and best practice guidance to Sales and advertisers
• Offer support and expertise for additional Sales partners in The Walt Disney Company's EMEA offices
• Engage with third party vendors that provide services to The Walt Disney Company
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Professional experience within an advertising/marketing agency or a vendor
• Experience supporting a wide array of clients and agencies
• Familiarity with media planning and management of multi-platform campaigns
• Analytical; able to review, assess, and strategize based on the results
• General understanding of advertising technology on websites, apps, and social media platforms with hands-on experience on the buy or sell side
• Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver digital advertising campaigns
• Good understanding of the digital marketplace, with a specific focus on video and display advertising in EMEA
• Great attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple campaigns simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in branded content distribution
• Familiarity working with large multinational companies and the accompanying complex processes and network of collaborators
• Basic proficiency in campaign management and ad-serving systems with experience in Operative1, Google Ad Manager and Salesforce being an added advantage, as is familiarity with social media buying platforms
• Able to step back and look at scenarios at a macro level, solving the immediate challenge and providing long-term solutions
