Dialogue Animation Mixer

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Original and ADR Dialogue Animation Mixer for Disney Television Animation. Our ideal candidate has deep experience with dialogue for animation and is a Pro Tools expert with technology experience related to remote recording, ADR, NAS, SAN, ISDN, Source Connect and other relevant technologies, and a desire to perform at the top of their game as part of a team. We are looking for a mixer who brings a high level of personal responsibility and passion to their work.

Responsibilities:
• Record and edit dialogue for various animated projects
• Manage the day to day functions of the premiere DTVA recording stage

Basic Qualifications:
• This is a local 700 position
• Minimum 5 years of dialogue mixing and editing for original animation
• Pro Tools expert with technology experience related to remote recording
• Working knowledge of studio signal flow: mic, cable, analog to digital, dante, HDX cards, Avid, Euphonix, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Highly proficient with ADR
• High degree of Pro Tools recording and editing proficiency
• A strong understanding of audio technology and IT and a desire to learn and adapt to new and changing recording and IT requirements, working within the corporate IT structure
• Deep understanding of audio gain staging, signal flow, analog gear, plugins, consoles, S6 control surfaces, and headphone systems
• Ability to manage recording sessions as well as interact with and respond to the needs of talent, directors, and/or creative execs in the session
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A high level of detail and personal responsibility
• Ability to adapt to real-time technical needs of the session
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Proven experience with high performance requirements of audio delivery, such as file specifications and file organization

Preferred Education

Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
