Job Description
The Disney Branded Television (DBT) Kids Analytics team sits within Disney Entertainment's Research, Insights, and Measurement group, providing cross-platform viewing data and insights on preschoolers and kids, as it pertains to content, platforms, overall trends and competitive performance. Will work with many teams across Disney, including but not limited to Creative, Strategy, Franchise, Consumer Products, Parks, Marketing, Business Operations and Streaming - to deliver data insights that help inform and guide business decisions.

We are looking for a qualified individual responsible for multiplatform content and platform performance and audience analysis in support of the Disney Branded Television content on Disney+ as well as the Disney kids' channels (Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD). In addition to the overall Kids Landscape Performance insights, this individual will work across Disney+, YouTube and linear platforms.

This person would be joining Disney's kids viewing expert team, that helps to inform key stakeholders and partners in understanding the evolving kids entertainment landscape, in order to decision make and advance content to the top of kids viewing. They will collaborate and work across the Kids Analytics team.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated starter who prides themselves on their attention to detail, accuracy, a love of numbers and data. A thirst for knowledge in asking the right questions to get stakeholders not always what they want, but what we think they need to drive the best business and content decisions. In the current TV landscape, a candidate is needed who can not only organize and analyze data, which is an important need of our business, but can also formulate actionable insights. This candidate will be joining and working across a fast-paced team that is often required to provide those insights in a quick, accurate manner. On the social analytics front, the analyst will monitor, analyze, and report on social media activity and performance using a suite of social measurement tools.

Responsibilities:
• Pulling data from multiple systems used to gather insights (e.g. Nielsen, StarTrak, Looker, YT Analytics)
• Creating, managing and upkeeping databases and reports across various formats (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Powerpoint, Word, etc)
• Timely ad hoc requests for a vast array of questions that arise on a daily basis (e.g. Programming, Marketing, PR, Franchise, etc)
• Work with internal stakeholders, attend meetings, assist as needed (e.g. Programming, Marketing, Research, Bus Development, Franchise, etc).
• Track performance of owned, paid, and competitive social media activity using a suite of social measurement tools; report on impressions, reach, engagement, and other KPIs
• Keep informed of competitive trends and the rapidly changing TV/Streaming environment in order to provide color and context to our performance analyses and effectiveness of content strategies

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 6 months of experience within research/consumer insights (relevant internship experience will be considered)
• Basic computer skills required: Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical and organization skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Desire to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and understanding of TV/Media landscape
• Ability to work in and learn new data systems to derive performance and insights
• A respectful, friendly, positive attitude that fosters a collaborative team environment
• Keen interest in ever-evolving kids social media and streaming landscape (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in linear or multiplatform research
• Knowledge of Nielsen data systems such as StarTrak and NPower
• Ability to create Tableau dashboards for data visualization
• Familiarity with social platforms' native analytics offerings (e.g. YouTube Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, TikTok analytics, etc)
• Experience tracking owned, paid, and competitive performance using leading social
measurement tools (e.g. Tubular, ListenFirst, NetBase)
• Ability to work with Looker a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be flexible, adapting to changing priorities and able to juggle multiple requests at once
• A resourceful self-starter, who is proactive in their approach and a team player

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Education:

BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent/related degree

The hiring range for this position in California is $68,300 to $93,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
