Job Description
The Director of Group Sales is responsible developing strategy and building a best-in-class Group Sales Department that focuses on selling five core group categories, fan experience packages, and ballpark hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategy and direction for the Group Sales team, including cultivating new programs, enhancing existing group sales platforms, setting individual goals, and monitoring achievement
• Lead Group Sales Account Executives to hit revenue goals through effective campaign creation, management, and engaging touchpoints
• Responsible for building Group Sales team through effective recruiting, training, and developing of Group Sales Accounts Executives
• Manage all aspects of selling new group business, including prospecting, lead generation, development of sales events and sales campaigns, and touchpoint creation
• Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals
• Optimize the Group Sales database and leverage past/existing groups to generate future sales
• Represent the department at industry events
• Work with vendors on creating and ordering group night giveaways
• Build and monitor group sales budget
• Leverage Group Sales technologies to curate industry best practices that drive group sales revenue
• Work with the box office to develop group sales procedures
• Responsible for aiding in the creation of all sales and support materials
• Provide daily sales reports and weekly activity summaries
• Serve as a resource and point person for all Group Sales activities on Game Days
• Assist other departments as needed by the organization
• Design, implement and execute a Group ticket sales business plan

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's Degree, Business or Sports Management preferred
• Minimum of 7 years Tickets Sales experience in sports/entertainment
• Previously leadership experience required
• Proven record of achieving sales goals/targets and motivating staff
• Proven track record in developing long-lasting relationships with group leaders and executives
• Must be creative, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish priorities, delegate, and lead other sales leaders
• Demonstrated staff development skills in order to properly train, develop and motive staff to meet objectives
• Ability to think strategically and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong judgment and strong problem resolution skills
• Ability to work with multiple internal contacts/department, external contacts and outside agencies

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Group sales experience in a ballpark environment preferred

Working Conditions:
• Office environment
• Ability to work long nights, weekends, and holidays
