The Director, Premium & Business Development will oversee all aspects of full, half, partial season and premium sales for the Detroit Pistons. This person will also be responsible for training, motivating and mentoring the ticket sales, business development, and premium sales staff. The Director oversee, innovate, and drive sales for all new business to meet or exceed goals set forth. This position will also be responsible for driving accountability for the new business teams by creating goals, metrics, and benchmarks through our CRM and sales enablement platforms.

What you'll be doing
• Meet or exceed all annual sales goals
• Collaborate with other departments and partners to grow the season ticket member base
• Executive active outbound campaigns
• Establish goals, benchmarks, and metrics to drive accountability and measure success
• Use sales enablement tools and technology to report information to upper management
• Improve the service outreach within the current CRM system
• Create training/onboarding programs to share best practices, foster career development and contribute to a culture of learning and growth
• Establish (bi-)weekly meetings with individual team members
• Provide overall leadership and oversee new ticket sales & premium sales
• Use league and industry best-practices to build an outstanding ticket sales program
• Lead regular staff meetings to facilitate discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing ticket sales revenue
• Responsible for initial on-sale events for new season ticket sales; timelines, e-marketing campaigns, in-game and external marketing programs, inventory management, and online activation
• Collaborate with other departments to design and execute events and programs that generate leads and new business opportunities
• Work closely with Director, CRM on CRM / Database initiatives such as data collection, analytics and marketing directly related to generating incremental ticket sales revenue
• Assist Marketing department with the development of sales materials and promotions
• Perform other duties as assigned

What we're looking for
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in ticket sales or service with collegiate and/or professional sports team(s)
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a leadership role in ticket sales or service with collegiate and/or professional sports team(s)
• Strong leadership skills, including time, project, and campaign management, while being able to motivate a team to achieve sales and retention goals
• Ability to contribute to and drive a strong sales and service culture consisting of teamwork and collaboration, career development, and personal growth
• Capability to ideate and execute innovative strategies to grow staff skillsets and the season ticket base
• Track record of exceeding goals
