*Pay Range: $42.46- $63.69 CAD Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
Method Studios currently has openings for a project hire Compositor to work on projects within our VFX department.
The perfect candidate needs to be a dependable, team player with a great attitude, and be flexible with our fast turnarounds. They will work closely with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Producer in achieving the highest creative and technical standards of work.
MAIN DUTIES:
• Will be responsible for challenging shots.
• Seamlessly integrate the various layers or elements of a live-action shot.
• Ability to tackle shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, animation, and creation of elements, etc.
• Matte extractions from blue/green screen photography.
• Good attention to detail, sense of color, colorspace, and lighting.
• Composite Multi-Pass CG Elements to create photo-real shots.
• Clean and efficient script organization.
• Communicate progress of work to Coordinator and Producer in a timely fashion.
WHAT YOU BRING:
• Experience working as a compositor in episodic, commercial, or feature VFX.
• Must be experienced in tracking and blue/green screens comps.
• Proficient in Nuke, Photoshop
• Knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under high pressure with short deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
• Experience working with Shotgun software preferred.
