CNN seeks a talented Sr. Writer to join the team!

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Senior Writer serves as the lead writer for the show team. They also fill in for copyeditor and producers, each of our writers is required to produce a high volume of work on a daily basis.
• The Sr. Writer is the lead writer for the show team and a back-up copy editor for the shows they work on.
• They are responsible for completing a heavy load of writing assignments, generally the most important or complex stories. This involves taking a producer's instructions, formatting the script, viewing appropriate graphics and video, and finding relevant source information.
• The Sr. Writers also helps to train upcoming writers.
• Early hours are required for this position.

Your Qualifications & Experience…
• College degree preferred
• 5 years of experience as a full-time writer in broadcast news, major market.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $103,460.00 - $192,140.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
