CNN is looking for a strategic and experienced Director of Product Management, Marketing Technology to
own the product strategy, roadmap and implementation
of CNN's marketing and messaging technology solutions . This senior role is part of the Revenue and Growth Product team within CNN's Digital Products & Services divisio n and will be pivotal in driving the success of our engagement and subscription strategies . You will oversee the marketing technology platforms and data capabilities that en a ble our product, editorial and growth marketing tea ms to effectively reach CNN users with relevant messaging throughout their customer journe y and to
optimize the performance of their acquisition, lifecycle marketing and engagement campaigns.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Product Strategy and Roadmap. Partner with marketing, product and engineering leadership to d rive the strategy and product roadmap for
our marketing and customer engagement technology stack (including CRM, customer segmentation and customer journey orchestration tools, marketing automation , and customer data platforms) .
• Vendor Strategy, Management and Integration: Lead the evaluation ( including build vs buy decisions ) , implementation and ongoing management of marketing technology and messaging partners. Ensure partners are seamlessly integrated into our existing marketing technology ecosystem and CNN's editorial, messaging, data and marketing tools and processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other CNN product teams, our g rowth m arketing team and broader Warner Bros. Discovery teams to align stakeholder needs with our marketing technology capabilities and roadmap. Ensure marketing technology is easy to use, effective and reliable, and ensure our tools are adopted, used and leveraged by our marketing, product and editorial stakeholders.
• Analytics & Segmentation: Champion the use of data, analytics and customer segmentation to
optimize marketing and messaging performance. Partner with our data team to design and implement marketing analytics frameworks to track KPIs related to acquisition, retention, and engagement. Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to the marketing, product and editorial teams about the effectiveness of their messaging campaigns .
• Data Infrastructure, Governance and Compliance: Partner with our data team to maintain a robust data infrastructure for seamless collection, organization, and analysis of customer data across all platforms and channels. Ensure all marketing technology and data activities adhere to privacy and security regulations established by Warner Bros. Discovery and CNN.
• Innovation and Optimization: Help develop a culture of experimentation by enabling our marketing , product a nd editorial teams to easily test, learn and
optimize . Continuously explore new tools and technologies to ensure we are adopting cutting edge technology that will improve our marketing and messaging capabilities and proces s es .
• Team leadership: Recruit, mentor and develop a high performing product and marketing
operations team that is committed to promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Qualification and Experience
• Experience: 8+ years in product management or marketing technology at consumer focused companies, with a preference for candidates with direct to consumer subscription or commerce experience .
• MarTech Expertise: Hands-on experience working with and integrating marketing technology products and services, including customer data platforms (CDPs), CRM and customer journey orchestration tool s, messaging platforms and analytics tools, with a focus on utilizing large consumer datasets to drive personalized customer experiences.
• Product Managemen t Best Practices: Extensive experience with product management best practices including techniques for identifying customer needs, hypothesis-driven roadmaps, prototyping, AB testing and user-centered design .
• Data Management: Experience working and integrating consumer data, including first, second- and third-party data, and deep understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices in ensuring data governance, data security, and compliance. Familiarity with data management platforms, API integrations, real time data pipelines and cloud technologies, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Data Analytics: Significant experience partnering with data analytics teams, with a proven track record
of applying customer insights to drive marketing and business
outcomes.
• Digital Marketing: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (e-mail, paid social, display, push) and paid media bidding and optimization strategies.
• Cross-Functional Skills: Comfortable in a matrixed environment, with proven ability to partner across p roduct, g rowth, d ata s cience, and e ngineering teams to integrate and
optimize solutions.
• Communication: Exceptional leadership and communication skills .

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $166,600.00 - $309,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
