Job Description

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Executive Producer of Strategic Content, the Coordinating Producer will oversee the day-to-day development, execution, and fulfillment of editorial sponsorships and select network initiatives across CNBC's digital platforms. Together with a team of producers, editors and Ad Sales partners, the Coordinating Producer will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of advertising commitments and site production tasks. The role requires a seasoned, creative, collaborative, and highly flexible leader with a proven track record in the news-editorial space. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Pre-Sale
• Delivering editorial sponsorship solutions for a high volume of digital-only and cross-platform Sales/RFP requests in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Identifying and creating innovative non-traditional monetization opportunities in response to marketplace demand and/or to support organizational goals
• Adhering to CNBC's editorial and brand standards

Post-Sale
• Overseeing the development, execution, and fulfillment of all digital sponsorships in collaboration with several cross-functional departments
• Working closely with Strategic Content team leaders and other key newsroom contributors to determine the editorial approach, content publishing schedule and story resourcing for sponsored special reports
• Partnering with digital Pricing & Planning to track special report campaign pacing and devising creative strategies to adjust traffic delivery if needed
• Liaising with Ad Operations to troubleshoot issues in real-time and ensure ads are delivered/tested on time
• Spearheading the scheduling and execution process for sponsored editorial and branded content social posts across all major platforms
• Leading the digital branded content approval process by ensuring all submissions are evaluated for adherence to cnbc.com standards
• Collaborating with product team when required or advantageous for sponsorship products
• Coordinating with International counterparts on global sponsorships and initiatives
• Maintaining critical transparency for leadership across digital commitments by updating details in all production management systems and documents in real-time
• Analyzing site trends and data to stay ahead of potential challenges with campaigns and identify new opportunities

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:
• 8 + years of experience in an editorial capacity at a major news outlet
• At least 4 years in a managerial capacity
• Professional experience with digital content or in a digital production role
• Understanding of sponsored content across the media landscape
• Proven success working in complex and layered cross-functional environment
• Ability to operate in a high-pressure, fast-paced culture with minimal supervision while juggling numerous deadlines and stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with colleagues at all levels including senior leadership
• Detail-oriented and an absolute must
• Exceptional journalistic instincts and judgment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to be trained across platforms, develop new skills and take on tasks outside of core role to support larger team initiatives as business evolves

Desired Qualifications:
• Prior editorial work at a business news outlet or similar publication
• Familiarity with developing content solutions for advertisers
• Audience development experience is a huge plus
• Hands-on experience working in a CMS
• Understanding of SEO practices and techniques

Additional Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
