About the Organization: OTT.X (formerly Entertainment Merchants Association) is the 501(c)6 not-for-profit trade association that has been supporting the home entertainment industry for over 30 years.
Our members form a global community of organizations throughout the video streaming industry and include content, service and technology providers, channels, platforms and retailers.
OTT.X is the association empowering the organizations that are transforming the distribution, monetization and audience experience of video content. Through our conferences, industry initiatives, and community gatherings, our members connect, grow their businesses, gather insights, and collaborate on impactful projects that remove obstacles, enhance efficiency, improve visibility, and enable scalability.

Schedule: Full Time and exclusive unless otherwise agreed
Status: W2 employee
Reports to: Board of Directors (the ''Board'')
Manages: Any personnel as determined by the Board from time to time. Initially two employees as direct report.
Responsibilities:
• The CEO shall work with the Board to continually establish, maintain, and implement vision and strategy for the organization. This includes but is not limited to all aspects of business model generation and execution which includes but is not limited to continually validating a repeatable and scalable model that ensures the continuity and impact of the organization in the community it serves.
• Activities include but are not limited to continually being attentive to and solving the problems of members of the OTT.X community, establishing and maintaining revenue structures and value propositions to members and the community, and implementing cost structures including employees, key vendors and suppliers.
• OTT.X is a trade organization of three employees. The CEO must be both a visionary strategist and a doer. This is a role for someone who enjoys wearing many hats and loves to roll up their sleeves and immerse themselves in the work. A successful candidate will be inspired to do anything required to further the organization including but not limited to member development, conference production, standards development, accounting, human resources, and information technology.
• All other items delegated by the Board to you.
Experience and Qualifications:
A successful candidate will likely have:
• 10+ years working in home entertainment with a recent focus on streaming video technologies and business models.
• Experience doing business development or sales.
• Experience managing small teams.
• Proficiency with basic small business technologies such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint or equivalent Google Workspace platforms.
• Comfort working in uncertainty.
• The industry is always evolving, and the organization is going through a transformation from serving the transactional video industry to serving the streaming industry. As consumption patterns and technologies change so too must the organization change and reinvent itself.
• A tolerance for risk.
• Ability to commit to a team and work with the team through success and failure, in times that require sprints and times that require marathons. This requires risk tolerance.
• Ability to separate your identity and self-worth from the success or failure of projects at work. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset. A successful candidate will be comfortable taking well managed risks and failing forward.
• Ability to objectively analyze the quality of your work product and the commitment to continue to improve.
• Excellent judgment and innovative problem-solving skills including but not limited to negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
• Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports, members and the Board.
• Self-reliant, good problem solver results oriented do-er.
This role is also eligible for discretionary bonus and to participate in any other related benefits as they are made available (ex: 401k and match).
