Overview and Responsibilties

CBS Sacramento is seeking an Executive Producer with a broad skill set! This key management position will directly oversee newscast editorial content and production. Must possess dynamic leadership skills, strong editorial judgment, and showcasing creativity necessary to manage and grow a team of producers. Must be capable of identifying brand-specific content and story angles in line with KOVR's ''Getting Answers'' brand.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring accuracy, quality and viewer appeal of newscasts.
• Maintaining high standards in accordance with station and FCC regulations and requirements.
• Working with production staff to ensure high quality, creative and accurate on-air look.
• Evaluating staff members, recruiting and hiring dedicated producers and writers.
• Interacting with and leading anchors and reporters.

Basic Qualifications
• At least 3 years of experience as a producer or news manager.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with Northern California is a big plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - 100,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
