Freelance Associate Director

CBS Sports, a year-round leader in television sports, broadcasts a portfolio of events on the CBS Television Network, including ''NFL ON CBS;'' college football, including the ''SEC ON CBS;'' college basketball, including the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship; golf, including The Masters®, PGA Championship and PGA TOUR; and ''CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR.''

In addition, the division includes CBS SPORTS NETWORK, the 24-hour home of CBS Sports, and produces ''INSIDE THE NFL'' for SHOWTIME. CBS Sports Digital's multi-platform offerings include CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile and connected TV devices; streaming sports news network CBS Sports HQ; 247Sports; MaxPreps; CBS Sports fantasy games; and SportsLine.

Responsibilities:
• Work alongside Technical Director and List Management Operator, sharing responsibility for airing commercials during live CBS Sports broadcasts including the NFL on CBS, NCAA football and basketball, March Madness, PGA Tour Golf, and a multitude of sports properties including CBSSPORTS.com
• The Associate Director is the lead position of a three-person coord crew, responsible for preparing the coord room for the day for Live Air or backup purposes
• Gives direction to TD and LM during live broadcasts of games, routing feeds, rolling commercials and inserting graphics on the air
• Takes direction from remote AD and/or studio AD
• Responsible for previewing commercials scheduled for the broadcast, transmission confirmations and overall room check out
• Integrate commercials, billboards, halftimes, updates, graphics, taped features, live scoring and brand ID
• Part-Time, Freelance position

Qualifications:
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must be organized and capable of making decisions on the fly, under pressure
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights depending on air schedule
• Will take direction from Broadcast Operations & Production Management regarding creative and operational procedures, as well as Coordinating Producers and other Associate Directors
• Previous experience in a Live control room television environment
• Experience as an Associate Director
• DGA union position
