Job Description
Leverages strong analytical skills to perform various activities from research, problem solving/analysis, coordination of resolution through to communication.

LOCATION
Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Completes research, analysis and problem solves inquiries from both internal and external sources including Creative, Royalty Accounting, Legal, Licensing, and other areas of Distribution Administration Services.
• Reviews and calculates royalty adjustments to BMI writers and publishers.
• Reviews and performs in-depth quality-assurance to ensure an accurate and complete quarterly distribution.
• Provides various forms of royalty earnings analysis.
• Provides analysis or data in response to Legal Subpoenas.
• Supports various business initiatives and projects as it relates to research and analysis.
• Understands all aspects of the distribution supply chain, including data structures, business processes, and distribution methodologies.
• Maintains knowledge of current industry trends relevant to BMI's business.
• Regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree required w/ background in Music Business and/or Finance.
Experience: Minimum three years of relevant experience with Royalties, Music Publishing or transferable skills as listed below.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and general proficiency with other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Knowledge or working experience with data mining/BI.
• Use of SQL is preferred.

• Ability to multi-task.
• Relationship skills.

SALARY RANGE
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
