A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop a program to provide regular, constructive feedback for student broadcasters to help them improve and hone their skills
• Create and hold frequent training sessions and provide students with 1-on-1 opportunities for learning how to become a professional announcer
• Assist with the identification of major storylines and participate in production calls with head coaches and members of the production staff
• Assist in the supervision of live broadcasts on B1G+ and work with quality control operators to create and send broadcast notes to the student crews
• Collaborate with the StudentU team to create production guides and training manuals that touch on all areas of broadcasts
• Train a group of freelance quality control operators in how to provide constructive feedback to student broadcasters through their regular postgame notes
• Travel to campuses around the Big Ten to meet with students in the StudentU program and help develop their on-air skills

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Strong understanding of the various facets of sports broadcast production (both on-air and behind the scenes) and the ability to teach them to students
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate feedback to others
• Capability to manage multiple high-profile projects and provide strong leadership and solid decision-making skills under tight deadlines
• Demonstrate sound analytical thinking
• Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a member of a team
• Deep love of the schools and teams of the Big Ten Conference

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of professional experience as a play-by-play announcer (Please note this position will NOT have any on-air opportunities associated with it)
• Prior experience working with and training students
• Experience with all areas of broadcast production (producing, directing, control room positions)
