Description:

BET is seeking a Manager to support the Original Programming Talent Relations team, based in Los Angeles! This role reports to the Director of Talent Relations. The Talent Relations Department is responsible for leading the Network's best-in-class strategy, outreach, and initiatives for all BET & BET+ Original Programming talent - both scripted and unscripted. This team partners closely with a variety of internal and external collaborators to ensure successful collaboration; spearheads all aspects of building loyal and prosperous relationships with high-profile BET talent and influencers; and provides analytic Talent Relations support to Network premieres, trade events, and tentpole specials!
Overview & Responsibilities:
• Leads slate of Original Programming shows and talent at high volume
• Secure talent participation for press interviews, events, screenings, photo and video shoots, tent poles, etc.
• Leads talent travel logistics for key opportunities, including air, ground, hotel, and glam expenses
• Handle talent onsite at tentpoles, department activations and network events
• Brainstorm unique talent gifting ideas + collaborate on distribution (holiday, production, achievements, congratulatory, etc.)
• Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and vendors
• Collaborate with BET internal teams on cross-communication about shows and active requests for talent
• Help establish standard methodologies across network for talent booking and relationship management

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of talent relations or related/transferable job experience
• Discernment. You habitually exercise discretion with internal, sensitive, and confidential business; you're keenly aware of your location, audience, surroundings, and who might be listening
• Understand the nuances of working with executives, talent, and industry representatives
• Fluency in commonly used cloud-based software: Microsoft 365, G-Suite, Slack, Airtable, Concur, etc.
• Ability to travel, work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Comfortability communicating with all levels of talent and their representatives

Additional Qualifications:
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be self-motivated, poised, patient, positive and have superior interpersonal skills
