Job Description
Come Grow With Us! We are looking for a Producer to join Bally Sports Midwest. This position is primarily responsible for producing pre-game and post-game shows for the St Louis Cardinals, St Louis Blues and other events assigned. In addition, this person will assist in producing specials and features for related productions of the Cardinals, Blues, Indiana Pacers and Kansas City Royals, as well as providing content for social media from assigned events. The Producer may also fill-in as game producer for Network's Team Partners games (Cardinals, Blues, Pacers, Royals) as needed and will also serve as on-site Cloud broadcast Tech Producer for road games.Other duties include working with the Executive Producer and Coordinating Producer on pre-game and post-game show content and presentations.
What you'll do:
• Produce pre-and-post-game shows for assigned telecasts, magazine shows, specials and features as needed. Works in conjunction with Executive Producer and Coordinating Producer on show content and presentations.
• Assist in developing less experienced staff and freelance employees.
• Produce any needed documents for each event.
• Will serve as game producer in a relief role and on-site Technical Producer for Cloud Control road games that are assigned
• Schedules and participates in meetings and conference calls related to productions, as required. Maintains office hours during off-season.
What to bring:
• A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, is preferred and equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 3+ years experience in live event/show producing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational and project management skills
• A demonstrated ability work without supervision in a high pressure environment is essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• The ability to operate video cameras and non-linear editing equipment
• Knowledge of Television Remote Production Facilities is essential.
• Working knowledge and experience with Adobe Create Suite is preferred
• Previous supervisory and leadership skills are required.
• Frequently required use of hands and fingers to write, manipulate telephone and computer keyboard.
• Regularly required to hear, talk and use close vision.
• Occasionally required to bend and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to drive a car and hold a valid driver's license. Must be willing to travel often and attend live sports events.
