The Amperwave team at Audacy powers all streaming, adtech, and podcasting experiences for our listeners. Keyword ''experiences''. Everything we do in our group relates to our mission to deliver a world-class audio experience, which includes music, podcasts, sports, news, and so much more!
Our team is growing and looking for the right tech lead to join us. We work together everyday to do things that matter, leave things better than when we started, and always keep our user's experience in mind. You will have the opportunity to use your technical experience to lead our podcasting and streaming backend applications that hundreds of our radio stations use daily to power everything we do. Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Start on the team as our lead engineer, learning the code and contributing. Once we have foundations down, you will elevate to a tech lead and start driving the technical and people leadership of the team.
• Someone who puts the team first to unblock, train, motivate, and create a positive team culture.
• Own the software release processes and pipelines.
• Perform tech feasibilities and prep work for the team.
• Document processes and share with the team.
• Ability to break technical concepts down and share with non-technical stakeholders.
• Assess daily and weekly team objectives and monitor output.
• Identify team bottlenecks in any area and work with the respective stakeholders to solve them.
• Partner with all teams and create clear lines of communication.
• Lead architecture and development decisions for our features.
• Work with Jira, our bug tracking and project management software.
• Acquire new skills, broaden existing skills, and contribute to others through knowledge sharing and retrospectives – we are better together!

Qualifications

More About You:
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals including data structures, OOP, time complexity analysis, and code refactoring/reusability.
• 2+ years acting as a hands-on tech lead, or senior engineer, with a desire to grow your technical and people management experience.
• 2+ years experience in agile software project management.
• Experience with modern front-end and back-end technologies: React, Typescript, Javascript, Node.js/Express, MySQL, PHP, and GoLang.
• Experience with a statically typed and/or concurrent programming language is a plus.
• Understanding of the entire software development life cycle.
• Experience architecting and developing microservices and APIs.
• A proven history of getting things done.
• Experience with enterprise level software.
• Experience with podcast specifications such as RSS and iTunes is a plus.
• Experience in unit testing and/or test-driven development is a plus.
• Understanding of the radio, podcast, and audio advertising industries is a plus.
• Experience with audio streaming standards such as HLS is a plus.

Additional Information

Pay Transparency and Application Deadline:

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $145k-$155K, target 10% bonus.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
