What You'll Do:
• Anchor live from the studio, including breaking news and special coverage
• Conceptualize, pitch, develop and produce news segments
• Gather, write, record, edit and deliver news content
• Interview newsmakers
• Operate studio board while on air

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:
• Must have a minimum of 5+ years' experience anchoring or reporting news
• Must be able to thrive in a fast paced all-news environment and cover every type of story including breaking news and features
• Must have excellent writing and presentation skills
• Strong interview skills with experience interviewing newsmakers and public figures
• Proficient in editing and packaging news, audio, and interviews
• Experience with and an understanding of social media and digital news
• The ability to expertly ad-lib when the situation warrants is crucial
• Ability to interpret and simplify complex copy and update copy on the fly as news warrants
• Ability to plan, organize and multi task in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding news judgment and ability to work under deadline pressure
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in media production and broadcast systems
• Ability to work flexible and irregular hours
• Willingness to experiment and innovate
• Bachelor's degree
