Overview

The Director of Content Strategy is crucial in Audacy's Content Operations department, responsible for developing and executing strategies that optimize content scheduling across our music brands. This position works closely with local and central content teams to ensure the content aligns with each format, brand's unique sound, and overall strategic objectives. This non-technical, strategic Content position enables our brands to create better listening experiences for our fans.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Develop comprehensive content scheduling strategies for each Audacy music brand.
• Collaborate with local Content Team teams to create standardized format-specific music scheduling databases, allowing for increased scalability and the incorporation of additional content.
• Collaborate with Central Strategy and Data teams to integrate strategic research information into Content Scheduling solutions.
• Foster open communication and collaboration with local Content Team teams to ensure that content is scheduled consistently with the brand's overall sound and strategic direction.
• Establish a common language that respects local music Content Team decisions while enabling standardization and the effective deployment of strategic research studies.
• Play a key role in developing and supporting GSelector architecture, an essential tool for content scheduling and management. Triage of market-level scheduling issues.
• Manage S3 Subscription Manager tool for national content distribution.
• Manage national music library (both titles and management strategy).
• Standardize music and link category names, sound codes, types, and other attributes across formats/organization.
• Be available for weekly 'office hours' as needed.

Qualifications

More About You:

Required:
• Expert knowledge of GSelector architecture and operation.
• 5+ years of experience in broadcast content scheduling and program management.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful broadcast content strategies.
• Strong understanding of music formats and genres, and how to attract and retain their unique audiences utilizing research data.
• Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
