Position Overview: The Coordinator, Guest Operations will take on a leadership position within the Event Operations Department, contributing to the overall success of our guest services initiatives. The Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience through strategic programs, staff management, and collaboration with various teams.
As part of the Event Operations Team, they will embody and influence The Braves Way of Service and act as an ambassador for the part-time gameday staff. They will help manage and facilitate event operations initiatives as well as drive innovative ideas to make Truist Park the best venue to visit.
Department Overview: Event Operations is responsible for the 365-operation of all events at Truist Park. This includes Guest Operations and the oversight of operational and logistical and aspects of baseball games and non-game events, including large-scale ballpark wide events.
Major responsibilities:
• Oversee and enhance the year-round staffing program and serve as a collaborative partner to event services
• Participate in the weekly Event Summary Review meeting
• Embody The Braves Way through your leadership, management style, and guidance of Ambassador teams and Ambassador supervisors
• Lead and manage Ambassador teams – Hospitality, Booth, Accessible Services by:
• Hiring and onboarding staff who exceed staff standards to deliver the best guest experience to all Truist Park guests
• Training staff on ballpark policies and procedures, staff policies, service philosophy, and ensure Braves standards are carried out
• Developing and leading supervisors
• Empowering ambassadors and supervisors to own the guest experience and provide the necessary resources
• Troubleshooting issues when escalated and reaching most favorable solution
• Support and execute all areas within Guest Operations and Event Logistics through cross-training
• Act as liaison between Event Operations and A-List inclusive of managing A-List gameday team, serving as Event Operations POC for A-List events, and being the primary contact for any other A-List initiatives
• Serve an active role on Gameday Leadership Team
• Work in collaboration with the Event Logistics Team when needed
• Other Duties and responsibilities assigned based on the current needs of the business
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• BA or MS degree in Sports Management, Hospitality, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in event operations, guest services, or a similar role in a large venue, stadium, or entertainment setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Previous experience leading a team including hiring, training, and mentoring a plus
• Ability to work long hours, weekends and occasional holidays in all types of weather conditions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Previous experience with Ticketmaster and Archtics ticketing systems is preferred
• Previous experience with Workday a plus
• Ability to move and lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Must complete a successful background check
