As the VFX Pipeline TD for Prime Video's new Virtual Product Placement (VPP) team, you will own the scaling and development of pipeline with an aim towards automation at every turn. You are someone who lives, breathes, and even dreams in ''Creating Pipeline Workflows''. You have an intimate knowledge of building customizable pipelines & its integration within Shotgrid and have tricks up your sleeve for navigating complex workflow challenges, with ease. This won't be your first time revolutionizing and evolving a unique and technologically complex VFX pipeline. You're not afraid to push the team at Shotgrid for solutions, either. You'll be a key and critical player in the development of a broader, highly scalable VFX pipeline uniquely optimized and streamlined to serve Prime Video (VPP) for years to come. You'll lead the charge on designing and developing custom tools to help everyone else get their work done faster and better. You'll be expected to collaborate with VFX Supervisor, CG Supervisor, Computer Vision Scientists, Engineering Teams and the Head of Production.

You think in terms of efficiencies and solutions and you're all about helping your team succeed. You understand the existing VFX industry, workflows, and pipelines inside and out. You're not afraid to explore new tools and may have experience developing tools required to perform unique VFX processes. You have expert knowledge of all the main 3D VFX tool sets, composition applications, and rendering engines - and have an eye on the new tools and technologies emerging, and being developed today to deploy tomorrow. You're not afraid of Python scripting etc. to solve a problem. You're interested in how CV and ML might eventually re-shape traditional VFX workflows.

Key job responsibilities
* Work closely with our VFX Supervisors, Engineering lead, and multiple PM's.
* Take the on developing the new VFX pipeline in collaboration with our existing local (India) partners and vendors.
* Build and improve our fast growing, technical VFX post production pipeline.
* Exhibit thought leadership with regards to trialing and on-boarding new software and tools into our existing VFX pipeline.
* Exhibit extensive knowledge of cloud enabled workflows, pipelines, and delivery systems.
* You will advise and understand the complexities that come with supporting 3D VFX and immersive projects from inception to completion.
* Independently evaluate technologies, tools and techniques among our vendors and partners.
* Work smoothly and efficiently across US time zone (some overlap is mandatory) and multiple teams internally.
* Learn new knowledge of the post production workflows, software, and process which you may not yet be familiar with, but which are needed to successfully perform this role.
* Be highly detail oriented at every phase of the VFX workflow you own. Limit problems, big and small, from traveling upstream by taking action early on, being proactive instead of reactive
* Be an experienced and self-motivated QA/QC supervisor, take ownership of QA/QC issues as they arise.
* Be flexible to respond after hours for important, timely, or urgent matters (for 911 situations).

A day in the life
As the VFX Pipeline TD, a typical day will consist of managing and guiding the increasing workload through the existing workflow. In parallel, you'll be working with technical teams in the US, supporting their understanding and development of new products and programs. You'll be the first to know when our pipeline isn't running smoothly, and work to figure out what tools we can create to ensure the pipeline runs faster and every more efficiently.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ Years Post Production TD experience with VFX specific workflows, preferably using Shotgrid.
* 2-5 Years Experience with media management, file management, DIT workflows, cloud based workflows.
* Professional experience with a scripting language such as Python (mandatory).
* Experienced utilizing programming API's and file formats for Nuke, Maya, AfterEffects, and offline renderers (Arnold, RenderMan)
* Professional experience with UNIX and shared network file systems, systematic scaling of VFX pipelines, including procedural techniques through tools such as Houdini, VFX automation and process improvement, and working in studios with hundreds of distributed artists.
* Ability to handle a fast pace environment overseeing several projects in various points of post-production (development through delivery).
* Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
* Experience working with tight schedules, deadlines and deliverables
* Able to juggle multiple projects, workflows and deliverables concurrently
* Demonstrated ability to lead, and to multi-task and self-prioritize
* Ability to work with highly technical teams and envision improvements to workflows and process while mastering your current tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* You've built VFX pipelines from the ground up using Shotgrid (formerly Shotgun)
* You're comfortable working in tandem with other teams working abroad
* Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced online environment
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time and to meet aggressive deadlines
* Proactively manage timelines, deliverables, and keep projects on track around-the-clock.
