Job Description
The Amazon Originals Marketing team is seeking a Group Lead of Creative Content Production to manage the team responsible for producing multiple photography and motion shoots in support of our original series and movie campaigns. This role is at the forefront of cementing process cohesion and team-wide production excellence. This involves managing all aspects of on-set, studio, and on-location productions from concept stage to delivery.
This role requires the ability to manage a team of producers, and multiple ongoing projects and team needs, while accurately assessing the complexity and creative requirements of each project. The Group Lead will assign and/or hire appropriate resources (production companies, photographers, DPs, etc.) as needed. The position also demands strong cross-functional collaboration with show production teams, creative ads leads, PR, social teams, external agencies, vendors, and talent representatives throughout campaign lifecycles.
Working directly with show crews, this position coordinates production schedules and talent availability, requiring adaptability and quick decision-making skills.
The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Directors Guild of America (DGA) rules and regulations, and possess strong organizational skills coupled with a passion for photography and motion.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Creative Producers and ACE Creative Executives, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Oversee end-to-end content capture for assigned titles, from pre-production through sustain phase, including unit photography, BTS/B-Roll, featurette development, gallery production, and post-production shoots
- Lead operational excellence within the Series vertical by developing, implementing, and maintaining best practices for Lead Creative Producers
- Develop and implement standardized workflows, documentation, and tracking systems to ensure deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements
- Manage relationships with showrunners, talent representatives, and other stakeholders to secure necessary approvals for content capture and asset usage
- Coordinate with Marketing and Creative teams to establish project priorities, communicate milestones, and ensure alignment with campaign objectives
- Monitor and optimize resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects, including budget management and team assignments
- Maintain expertise in production management, still photography, asset management, and labor relations while staying current with industry trends
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and contractual obligations
- Provide strategic guidance on content production strategies to support marketing campaigns for original series and movies
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to maximize efficiency and creative output
- Manage vendor and external partner relationships, including production companies, photographers, and technical crews
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of experience e in entertainment content production
- Proven experience with photography and motion content production
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A strong knowledge of BTS crew, unit photographer and gallery photographer talent for hire
- Established relationships with BTS crews, unit photographers, and gallery photographers
- Experience managing high-profile talent and union productions
- Knowledge of current entertainment marketing trends and best practices
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation
- Proven track record of leading creative teams
- Experience with major studio or streaming platform productions
- Portfolio of successful marketing campaign content

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $274,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
